Warner vacation.....

Finally!!!!!!!
We were beyond excited to be able to go on a short vacation. And the fact that it was to a beach was icing on the cake...
Yep Warner's went to California a few weeks ago.
This is Luke's very first time in an ocean. He LOVED it!!! Now Kolby is another story but I'm sure it will grow on him.

We went to A San Diego Padres game at the amazing Petco stadium. It was a first pro baseball game for all of us. We LOVED it!!!!

We had seats at the VERY top of the stadium, its hard to see but we had views of the whole bay and city. Stunning!!!
It may have been just a tad overwhelming for some of us (a certain two year old) so we only stayed half a game but very fun all the same.
We spent as much time as we could on the beach. It was still a little chilly but lots of fun in the warm sand.

Pacific Beach is was of my very favorite places. I love its laid back atmosphere, the boardwalk for miles. The delicious food literally steps from the beach. Being there with my family was heaven on earth and the perfect weekend!!!

We could not go to San Diego and not see Sea world. The Shamu show and exhibit were our favorite. Words just don't describe the feeling of being so close to such a majestic and beautiful animal.

The boys LOVED looking and and touching the animals. Wonderful day!!!!

Now I just can't wait to go back ;)
And next time we go Dew is going surfing for sure!!!

Mothers Day Weekend

I know I am W.....A.....Y behind on blogging. It has been a bad combo of slow Internet at the house, computer issues and finding the time to come into town to upload pics.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the start of summer. We have been crazy busy it seems like the last month has just flown by. I will try to get caught up on our whirlwind life ;)
We spent Mothers Day weekend at Bryce Canyon with a wonderful group of friends. We had a blast!!! Its a National Park for a reason, simply stunning.
We stayed in a little tiny (cute) cabin while most of the group camped in motor homes. This is Dewey and the boys walking back and forth between the two.
One morning Troy and Dewey gathered all the boys including Luke and Kolby for a game of football. They all had so much fun, the rest of the trip the kept asking to play again.
We went for a back country four wheeler trip for hours. Dewey and I and the boys were in a four seater Rhino. This is the boys literally 10 minutes into the ride.
They slept for at least half the trip. We are driving on dirt roads, lots of dirt flying and things to see and they are fast asleep. I had no idea there were as many roads around the park to explore. Topped off with a picnic lunch in the forest.......It was a wonderful day.
Of course we had to drive into the park and hike. Words can't describe the natural beauty of Bryce Canyon. Luke is getting pretty good at hiking. He walk on his own most of the way down.
Kolby of course got a "free" ride.

I love this pic, That's Wendy in the front Troy holding Lukes hand and Dewey with Kolby.

Troy ended up carrying Luke all the way back up the canyon on his shoulders. (lifesaver for me)

For those that haven't been to Bryce Canyon this is towards the top looking across. The hike we took takes you right down into the red rocks. AMAZING!!!

Have a wonderful week and I promise to update sooner. And catch up on every ones blogs

Hidden Treasue

We found another hidden treasure. It's a breathtaking area just north of St. George. The best part is a small river and water fall that drys up by May. We are so excited we found it and were able to see it this year before its dry.
Luke was able to do the whole hike (ok more like an easy walk) by himself. And Kolby rode in the pack on dads back this year.
There was one area that you have to hold on to a rope and climb on notches that have been carved out in the rock. Dewey climbed back and forth carrying the boys to the other side. A little crazy but pretty safe....

This is the top or as far as we could go without going swimming through a small slot canyon. It took Kolby less then a minute to get soaking wet in the stream.
Before Pic
After pic
Its amazing to me that you can be in the middle of a desert and find a lush green area.

Check out my cute hiking boys :)

Happy Easter!!!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend, we sure did !!!!
We started our Easter last week by coloring eggs. In case any ones wondering farm fresh brown eggs color just like the store bought white ones. The kids loved it, they directed dad as to which colors they wanted for each and every egg. Kolby was in charge of putting the stickers on the eggs.

This is Kolby doing "Bunny ears"
And Luke showing off his Bunny ears skills.

G.G sent the boys Easter treats. They were so excited to open the box. They each got cute little baskets and candy. THANK YOU G.G
And last but not least Kolby wishing everyone a Spring

You are here!

Everyone knows we love our Sunday drives. A few weeks back the weather predictions were not good, it was going to be a stormy blustery day. We didn't need any more incentive to try and find some sun and fun. We started our going over a mountain to the East....hum nope still several feet of snow. We headed South to Kanab, a beautiful little town that is usually warm. (at least warmer then us) But the wind beat us there so we had lunch but couldn't really get out and play. We decided to head West again but go a different way then the over the mountain route we had taken. So off we go, cross into Arizona and head home.......
Me "um I think we are driving East"
Dew " maybe a little but its more South then East"
Me " No I think its pretty much straight East"
Dew " I think the road curves around up here and we will head West again"
I'm looking around at this point and seeing NOTHING except tree's as we head East back into some mountains.... oh and snow.... a blizzard really.
This is the first thing we came to, it was a little scenic view spot. I took a picture of the sign as proof....... that we had been driving East and were almost to the GRAND CANYON. We had taken a wrong turn right out of Kanab.

So here are the boys on our quest for sun playing day :)
The craziest part was there was NOBODY around until we walk up to the lookout area and then these men walk up offer to take our picture. So here we are, can you tell we are all freezing?

We have been laughing about our adventure ever since. What a fun, completely unexpected day. I think they make the best memories. That and the fact that me and the boys slept most of the way home :)

A beautiful Sunday

We had a perfect Sunday! The kind of day that's relaxed and fun for the whole family.
We started off coming into town to meet Aunt Becca and Uncle Dell for brunch. They were on their way home from St. George and stopped to see us. (Thanks for the yummy food!!) Always fun getting to see them!
And we were in luck we had the day off and the weather was nice. (happens less often then you would think) So we headed up to one of our favorite walking trails.
Luke starts out walking but that doesn't usually last long :)

I wish my camera was better, the hills behind the boys are bright red, it looked just beautiful with the stream in the background. But we did get both boys to smile :)
The boys favorite part is the park at the beginning of the trail. It takes a lot of work and promises to come back and play after we walk to get the boys past it. The slides were the biggest hit.

They couldn't pass up the swings either.

We ended the afternoon with ice cream cones before heading home.
Just a perfect day!!
Sorry I know I'm behind in blogging (way way way behind) I'm having trouble juggling everything, but I'm trying to get caught up......

Nascar in Las Vegas

Last weekend our good friends came through town on their way to spend the weekend in Las Vegas. It was NASCAR weekend and they had tickets and reservations to stay at the track.
They invited us to come down Saturday for the party. With some huge help from Grandma and Grandpa as babysitters off we went.
I went to a race a few years ago and loved it but I never saw the "city" of motor homes that is behind the track. It was one big party with groups of friends all over.
This is Troy, Cary, Me, Judy and Wendy (dew's taking the pic) We m...a...y have snuck into the track after it had closed to watch the practices....

That's me Troy and Cary sticking our heads through a small window in the fence that was open. Very cool you have to admit.

So this year is a VERY big birthday year for my hubby and his wonderful friends. I'm thinking it will be one big party year as there is a birthday nearly every month. I love these guys and think its a truly amazing thing that they are still so close after all this time.

Dewey and I didn't even see a race and still had so much fun spending time with everyone.

Late night group shot

Cary and Dewey being themselves :)

Check out the hotties!! And this is just a small portion of their group, hopefully sometime this year we can get a group pic with everyone in it.

Troy, Wendy, Cary and Judy THANK YOU we had a blast!!!
